Frank Lowy - owner of Westfield - started out with a deli in Blacktown, building the first Westfield, then driving around Sydney picking the best hubs for other Westfields. Now all over the world. Do you like them?

Stump Nightmare

This is what is left of the tree that fell, to remove this 3m stump I was quoted $800. Looks like I will have to whip the old chainsaw out.

Storm Damage

This is my neighbour's house with my gum tree across his deck. This rotten old Spotted Gum needed cutting down but, its the same old story, the council would not give permission. Luckily it missed his house. Also how strong was his deck, he'd just finished building it.

Rushcutters Bay Grandstand

A good place to watch the cricket on a sunny summers day.

Named after a 1940's Mayor of Sydney - Reg Bartley.

In March 1946 Bartley was instrumental in moving to demolish the Sydney Mint and the Hyde Park Barracks, stating that they should "make way for modern structures". Sounds a bit more right wing than the current Mayor - Clover Moore.
