Governor's Residence


In the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens is this stately mansion. Currently occupied by the Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir.

  2. She doesn't actually occupy it, and the day to day work is handled across the street. But for ceremonial occasions, this is the place. There are free tours of the downstairs available just about every day.

  4. Yes, I believe that she is moving back in, too. Read it in the SMH so it must be true! I think Mr O'Farrell wants to free up space in the Chief Secretary's building which is where the Governor's office currently is. Personally, I think she lives in her own house.

    It looks like the garden is big too!
