Sydney Mardi Gras

The annual Sydney Mardi Gras is on this weekend. This crossing on Oxford Street, where the parade marches, has been repainted for the event. A little bit of controversy in today's newspaper about its cost -what do you think? Is it worth $100,000? to read the story click here.

  1. Sydney's bold ideas never cease to amaze me.
But that's a lot of money.

  2. I love it and how you captured it, but can't believe the cost! The article didn't elaborate...maybe they need to use cheaper paint next time?

  8. I can imagine how the money adds up ... its on a busy street so you'd have to pay for traffic control, the stop go man etc etc before you even begin to paint. Looks great.
