Tasmania - Getting to MONA

The Museum of Old and New Art is a great reason to visit Hobart. A private museum built and run by David Walsh who earnt his fortune in an unusual way. Easy to get to: drive and its about 20 mins along the Derwent River, a level bike ride along a well defined bike path or the best way is by this ferry terminal from Hobart Docks. The mirrored entrance to MONA and the boat arriving at the wharf.

Tasmania - The Henry Jones Art Hotel

Thanks to the Tasmanian Tourist Bureau I won this fabulous holiday. The accommodation was at the Henry Jones Art Hotel, located in an historic IXL jam factory it retains lots of the original features: sandstone walls, tin roof old machinery, but as you can see it is also lined with original artwork. Right on the docks the location is a short walk to the best Hobart has to offer. Click here to view more.
